Wild animals now also from Zapf Creation!
- For the first time, the new product line from the manufacturer in Roedental addresses boys aged five to nine and thereby extends its portfolio by another target group.
The educative play concept by Zapf Creation includes detailed wild animals from the entire fauna designed true-to-life that encourage collecting, swapping and playing. The animals are made of high-quality plastic and are equipped with mechanical and partly also battery operated realistic functions. Children hereby not only learn something about the appearance and the behaviour of these wild creatures. The play value of the animals is also greatly extended due to additional information. The facts about each animal are to be found on several perforated sections of the packaging card that can be detached and used separately. The embedded playing card, for example, is most suitable for a quartet game and contains detailed specifications on size, weight, dietary habits and the species on the back of the card and even shows the habitat of the animal on a small world map. On the front side, a picture of the creature, the Latin name and a scale indicating the size and strength of the beast are included. Furthermore, there is information on how poisonous and dangerous the animal is. All animals are numbered and recorded on a large world map with the number and their scientific names. The map is separately available as a poster in DIN A1 format. The miniature images of the creatures, which are depicted on the perforated packaging card, can be detached and stuck onto the poster. Thereby, every child gets a quick overview of the habitat of the reptiles, mammals and marine creatures he has already acquired, for example the great white shark. This shark is considered to be one of the oldest and most dangerous animals living in the ocean on our planet. With its teeth and its cunning and acute senses, it detects all prey and snaps at it as fast as lightning.
The desert also comes to life! When the desert scorpion approaches with its venom-injecting barb, one definitely needs to take cover. It crawls over the sand with its thick and durable body and soft legs. If it feels threatened, it attacks with its raised tail bent forward, like the animal figure demonstrates, in order to paralyze its prey with its poison. One should also seek shelter as soon as the king cobra comes closer. If the small button on the figure is pressed, it bends forward and - beware! - its poisonous tooth is revealed. Caution is also called for when one meets the Tasmanian devil. With its black body and its sharp teeth this detailed play figure is simply terrifying. Furthermore, the wild character snarls in a typical way, when the button on the body of the figure is pressed. As a sign of its aggressiveness and to fend off enemies, the ears of the Tasmanian devil light up red. On the brink of extinction and very vividly portrayed in various documentations is the gorilla. Originally inhabiting the jungle, it will also soon find a new home in the children's rooms thanks to Zapf Creation. The hard body and the soft, flexible limbs make this ape a perfect playmate. If the child presses the small button, apish screams sound and give everyone quite a fright.
One should not be afraid of spiders, when the tarantula with her eight eyes on its forehead and soft, flexible legs targets its prey. If a small button on its back is pressed, its fangs appear and the two front legs are set up. But the crocodile can also be a source of discomfort. In search of food, it elegantly steers itself through the water with its tail, until it strikes with its large teeth, just like the flexible animal figure vividly shows. As soon as the tail is moved from side to side, the head of the crocodile turns in the opposite direction. The beaded lizard completes the wild animal assortment that marks the starting point of the new product line available this autumn. This pied reptile slinks over the ground and its body can be moved in a lizard-like motion. When the button on the figure is operated, the dangerous tongue appears.
All in all, two assortments are planned this year and four additional assortments annually to supplement the portfolio of wild animals. A new map in DIN A1 poster format is available for each assortment and shows all of the continents and oceans, their vegetation, mountains and water depths as well as the individual countries of the continents. A fabulous impulse for learning and an extracurricular motivation for geography and biology class!
